English Presentation Skills
教育目標 Course Target
This semester-long high-intermediate-level English elective course is tailored for students who are motivated to learn about English presentation skills and language. Models of successful presentations will be introduced. Students will have plenty of opportunities to practice using effective language for presentation. Students are expected to participate in pair work and group discussions in class, complete weekly assignments including four short presentations, and give midterm and final presentations. Class attendance is mandatory.
On completion of the course, students should be able to
1. Discuss key issues about giving successful presentations in English;
2. Use and explain effective visuals when presenting in English;
3. Prepare, outline, and give a business or academic presentation in English;
4. Use effective language when presenting and answering questions in English.
