教育目標 Course Target

組織工程是一門跨領域且密切整合的學科,課程內容將從材料、細胞、以及相關傳遞與生長因子開始,導入材料降解與生物相容性、支架設計與反應器工程,最後匯聚於皮膚、軟骨、神經與器官等現況成果。透過本課程的介紹,將能使學生在跨工程與生物醫學領域視野能更加瞭解與熟悉。本課程教學針對組織工程所需之基本細胞生物結構與作用、材料本質與開發、以及環境條件和反應器設計等,並對細胞與組織間的界面關係到工程運用以深入淺出之教學方式,讓修課學生學習到基本的組織工程之學理與應用。教學安排將透過單元設計漸進式帶領同學從生活疾病中發掘相關醫療問題,並透過工程技術介入以輔助臨床醫療。另藉由討論導引同學進入倫理相關議題,同時探究基礎學理與疾病治療模式,最後配合分組討論強化同學們發掘、運用、執行與處理專業學識之能力。

Tissue engineering is an interdisciplinary and closely integrated discipline. The course content will start from materials, cells, and related delivery and growth factors, introduce material degradation and biocompatibility, scaffold design and reactor engineering, and finally converge on current achievements in skin, cartilage, nerves and organs. Through the introduction of this course, students will be able to better understand and become familiar with the perspectives across engineering and biomedical fields. The teaching of this course focuses on the basic biological structure and function of cells, the nature and development of materials, environmental conditions and reactor design required for tissue engineering. The interface between cells and tissues is related to engineering applications in a simple and easy-to-understand teaching method, allowing students to learn the basic theories and applications of tissue engineering. The teaching arrangement will gradually lead students to discover relevant medical problems from daily life diseases through unit design, and assist clinical treatment through engineering technology intervention. In addition, students are guided into ethics-related issues through discussions, and basic theories and disease treatment models are explored at the same time. Finally, group discussions are used to strengthen students' ability to discover, apply, implement and process professional knowledge.
