To understand the pharmacodynamics including the types of molecular targets used by drugs, the general principles and strategies involved in designing and discovering drugs, and the pharmacokinetics related to molecular mechanisms of drug interaction. To study specific topics within medicinal chemistry including antibacterial, antiviral and anticancer agents.
