本課程在於使學生對於莊子思想熟悉,其中主要以郭象的詮釋為主,郭象的意思乃齊物論的發揮,為一種儒道之混合,為適性逍遙,依於自性,無大鵬小鳥,都可以逍遙,此魏晉玄學之學風

又吾人可能輔之船山,方以智等人的理解,船山注莊的特色在於援莊入儒,蓋船山為儒家,批評莊子之處少,因為莊子與儒家有其相通之處,莊子的齊物精神,與易傳的對待的看法有其相似處,但還是有些微差別,船山認為生死夭壽禍福都以德行面對之,而莊子回應之以自然,故有其相似處,亦有不同之處,方以智的藥地炮莊,乃認為莊子是孔門托孤,有其三教合一之傾向,又明末四大禪師,如憨山大師解莊解老,都值得研究

This course aims to familiarize students with Zhuangzi's thoughts, which mainly focuses on Guo Xiang's interpretation. Guo Xiang's meaning is the development of the Theory of Equality of Things, which is a mixture of Confucianism and Taoism. It is adapted to be free and easy. According to one's own nature, no big bird or big bird can be free and easy. This is the style of metaphysics in the Wei and Jin Dynasties.

We may also supplement Chuanshan's understanding of Fang Yizhi and others. The characteristic of Chuanshan's Zhuangzhuang is that he supported Zhuangzi and became a Confucianist. There is little criticism of Zhuangzi, because Zhuangzi and Confucianism have their similarities. Zhuangzi's spirit of equalizing all things is similar to the view of Yi Chuan on treatment, but there are still some slight differences. Chuanshan believes that life, death, longevity, misfortunes and blessings are all faced with virtue, and Zhuangzi responds to nature, so there are similarities and differences. Fang Zhi's Yaodi Paozhuang believes that Zhuangzi is an orphan of Confucius, and has a tendency to unify the three religions. The four great Zen masters in the late Ming Dynasty, such as Master Hanshan's explanation of Zhuang and the old, are all worth studying.
