近代言語の形成を？史的な視點から跡付け、その社會的、政治的、？？的、及び文化的な意義について？討すると同時に、現在の私たちが持っている言語？を批判的に見直していく。學期を通して、近代國家、近代の國民の形成と言語の？係について論じた文獻の講？を行います。おもに日本の事例を扱いますが、台灣における近代の？？はもちろん、東アジアの「近代化」にかかわる事例についても參照すること。また帝國化、植民地支配、ナショナリズム、教育などの世界の「近代化」の諸事象について思考、想像する姿勢が求められます。
