教育目標 Course Target

This course will guide students through the major fields of interpreting studies as well as provide them with the opportunities to discuss and debate issues facing interpreters in various contexts. Basic skills in interpreter training will also be included in the course to equip students with useful interpreting skills to deal with related interpreting challenges at work in the future. The combination of both theoretical understanding as well as basic interpreting skills would serve as the foundation should one wishes to further their pursuit of professional interpreting as one of possible career paths for students. By the end of the course, students should have achieved the following objectives: 1. Students will understand the major discussions and directions of research in interpreting studies 2. Students will acquire basic interpreting skills for bilateral interactions 3.
