英美法系以普通慣習、法官之判決先例、衡平法原則等發展而來。本課程以介紹美國法律為重心。影響大陸法系發展與英美法制核心概念之介紹，研讀並實作重要判例之摘要，以培養法律英文能力，啟發探究「法何以為法」之興趣。主要內容如美國憲法、侵權法、契約法、刑事訴訟法等概述。

The British and American legal system developed with common habits, judges' judgment precedents, and equitable principles. This course focuses on introducing American law. Influence the development of the Mainland legal system and the introduction of the core concepts of the British and American legal system, study and implement summary of important precedents to cultivate legal English skills and develop the interest in exploring "why law is law." The main contents include the US law, infringement law, contract law, criminal act, etc.
