透過數位與音樂的結合，引發學生了解廣義電腦音樂所涵蓋的知識與應用層面，如基礎的MIDI原理、電腦打譜，更深一步的數位聲波、 MIDI Sequencer以及環境音樂之學術研究探討。加上電影配樂、商業音樂之數位應用，使學生了解數位音樂創作原理與方法，並具實際使用電腦創作音樂之基本能力，以科技的方法達成音樂創作輔助與檢視之手段。本課程在指導學生瞭解小型個人數位音樂製作工作室之軟硬體設定與連接、以及如何利用現有的音樂科技、數位編曲軟體，來增加數位編曲的效率與品質。此課程有別於其他以藝術音樂為訴求之電腦音樂、互動音樂等相關課程，而以當前業界之商用音樂編曲、配樂、錄音、音效設計等為主要課程軸心，不排斥運用現成節奏、音色等素材完成有效率、高品質的音樂編曲。學完此課程後，學生將有能力規劃自己的多媒體配樂專用之小型音樂工作站、並有獨立完成數位多媒體音樂製作能力。

Through the combination of digital and music, students are encouraged to understand the knowledge and application aspects of computer music in a broad sense, such as basic MIDI principles, computer notation, and in-depth academic research on digital sound waves, MIDI Sequencers, and environmental music. In addition to the digital application of film soundtracks and commercial music, students will understand the principles and methods of digital music creation, and have the basic ability to actually use computers to create music, and use technological methods to assist and review music creation. This course guides students to understand the software and hardware settings and connections of a small personal digital music production studio, and how to use existing music technology and digital arrangement software to increase the efficiency and quality of digital arrangement. This course is different from other computer music, interactive music and other related courses that focus on art music. It takes the current industry's commercial music arrangement, soundtrack, recording, sound effect design, etc. as the main course axis, and does not exclude the use of ready-made rhythm, timbre and other materials to complete efficient and high-quality music arrangement. After completing this course, students will be able to plan their own small music workstation dedicated to multimedia soundtracks, and have the ability to independently complete digital multimedia music production.

承襲數位音樂導論課程探討數位與音樂結合，所引發之各種可能性。不同以往MIDI原理、電腦打譜之學習，本學期將著重數位聲波、 MIDI Sequencer以及環境音樂之學術研究探討，與電影配樂、商業音樂之數位應用結合，使學生淺嚐數位音樂創作原理與方法，並靈活運用實際使用電腦創作音樂之基本能力，以科技的方法達成音樂創作輔助與檢視之手段。

Following the introduction to digital music course, we explore various possibilities arising from the combination of digital and music. Different from the previous study of MIDI principles and computer notation, this semester will focus on the academic research and discussion of digital sound waves, MIDI Sequencer and environmental music, combined with the digital application of film scores and commercial music, allowing students to have a brief taste of the principles and methods of digital music creation, and flexibly apply the basic ability to actually use computers to create music, and use technological methods to assist and review music creation.
