Music Resources and Scholarly Writing
教育目標 Course Target
本課程介紹人文學院科目的基本論文寫作原則,主要的寫作參考工具,以及如何將這些觀念運用在樂曲分析與音樂史的研究報告上。上學期的課程分成二大部分:1)圖書館資源、主要的參考工具書、電子資料庫(如 Music Index, JSTOR, Grove Music Online, Naxos);2) 剽竊抄襲的定義、寫作學術論文參考書目的格式。下學期我們將把這些理論應用在實際的寫作上,如短篇的研究報告、樂曲解說及摘要。
This course introduces the basic essay writing principles for subjects in the School of Humanities, the main writing reference tools, and how to apply these concepts to research reports on music analysis and music history. The course last semester was divided into two parts: 1) library resources, major reference books, and electronic databases (such as Music Index, JSTOR, Grove Music Online, Naxos); 2) the definition of plagiarism and the format of bibliographies for writing academic papers. Next semester we will apply these theories to practical writing, such as short research reports, music explanations and abstracts.
