3. 透過認識文藝復興時期的藝術與社會，也認識自己與自己所處的時代文藝復興時期，既是藝術史上的輝煌時代，大師輩出；也是社會發展的關鍵時期，現代開展。本課程旨在探索此一人文主義興起、古典文化創新運用、科學與數學受到重視、世界觀為之一新的獨特豐富時期。而藝術作品的生成及創造向來與藝術家所處的時空環境息息相關，本課程將析究歐洲文藝復興時期之藝術作品與蘊造該作品的社會脈絡之間的關連。課程架構不擬沿用傳統研究文藝復興藝術史之時序表述方式（如早期、盛期、晚期等），而欲聚焦在深刻影響並形塑當時文化底蘊之諸項主題，以之建組各週進度，由此鋪陳開展出對於文藝復興的理解。研究範圍主要以佛羅倫斯為中心，並跨越至歐洲其他國家地區。

3. By understanding the art and society of the Renaissance, you can also understand yourself and the era you live in. The Renaissance was not only a glorious era in the history of art, with the emergence of numerous masters, but also a critical period for social development and the development of modernity. This course aims to explore this unique and rich period of the rise of humanism, the innovative use of classical culture, the emphasis on science and mathematics, and a new worldview. The generation and creation of artistic works have always been closely related to the time and space environment in which the artist lives. This course will analyze the relationship between the artistic works of the European Renaissance and the social context that created the works. The course structure does not intend to follow the traditional chronological expression of the history of Renaissance art (such as early, high, late, etc.), but intends to focus on various themes that profoundly influenced and shaped the cultural heritage of the time, and uses them to organize the progress of each week, thereby laying out and developing the understanding of the Renaissance. The research scope is mainly centered on Florence and spans to other European countries and regions.
