希望同學透過此課程增加對社會學想像與社會學分析的運用，透過對我國社會演進、典章制度的變化與當代社會研究做對比，進一步了解「人」與「資源」、「人」與「社會」、「人」與「制度」、以及「人」與「人」的關係並能加以用社會學的角度去分析、比較，以融會中西，貫通古今。是否想過， 次第的「次」是象形一個人說話有唾沫濺出口外的樣子，代表非良好行為的意思，告訴了我們社會中對禮儀的重視，以及社會階級概念的形成。是否想過，早在一千多年前的唐代的常平倉、宋代的居養院，就已經慢慢發展出相當完整的社會救濟制度，照顧社會中貧老、貧病、貧幼。是否想過每每在記取教訓後改革，但社會仍終于變亂？社會演進的過程中，什麼是不變的？什麼是循環的？什麼是一直在變的？從歷代社會演進出發，對照當今西方社會研究的主題，從古到今的比較，橫貫中西的比較。I hope that through this course, students will increase their use of social imagination and social analysis, compare our social development, the transformation of rules and regulations with contemporary social research, and further understand the relationship between "people" and "resources", "people" and "society", "people" and "system", and "people" and "people" and "people" from the perspective of society. They can analyze and compare them from the perspective of social science to integrate Chinese and Western culture and understand the past and present. Have you ever thought that the "second" of the sequence is a pictographic way of saying that one speaks of a person, which means non-good behavior, and tells us about the importance of gifts in society and the formation of social-level concepts. Have you ever thought that Changping, the Tang Dynasty, more than a thousand years ago, had gradually developed a relatively complete social economic relief system, taking care of the elderly, sick and young people in the society. Do you want to reform after you remember to learn about the teachings, but society is still going to be in chaos? What does not change during the social evolution? What is circular? What is changing all the time? From the past, social performances have emerged, compared with the themes of current Western social research, from ancient times to the present, and compared with Chinese and Western comparisons.
