教育目標 Course Target

本課程為東海大學社會系與通識中心雙掛課程,主要關切台灣、中國大陸、香港的城市再發展(urban redevelopment)、都市更新(urban renewal)與居住正義(housing justice)課題。我們從都市社會學的知識關懷和具體研究出發,在東海創造出一個學術討論平台,讓來自兩岸三地的同學,藉由城市案例的探討,有彼此交流、共同思考、批判對話的機會,從而梳理出各自的人文社會關懷。 本課程除了由授課者講授相關基礎概念之外,將具體討論七個重要城市案例:台北、台中、台南、上海、北京、深圳、香港。本課程最具特色的是,城市案例部分,每堂課邀請兩位熟悉該主題的學者專家,進行各一小時的專題演講,然後在第三個小時進行對談、提問與交叉辯論。這將是難得的學習機會。作為通識雙掛課程,本課程很歡迎陸生、港生同學參加。 除了演講、對談之外,授課教師將兼採「蘇格拉底教學法」,促進同學間與師生間的發問、討論與對話。 我們也將運用小組討論、專題研究、上台簡報的教學方式,社會系修課學生將混分成七個小組(也歡迎通識課同學參加小組報告),認領這七個主題城市中的「一個城市」。每個小組要負責:(1)在所認領城市的來賓演講完後,提出兩到三個發問,帶動QA討論;(2)以一個學期的時間,完成該認領城市的專題研究,題目由組員自訂,並在期末(期中考前兩周)上台做15-20分鐘的PPT報告。 我們鼓勵同學分工合作地做報告、到校外進行田野調查、訪談,小組專題研究報告所蒐集的資料,可轉化為組員個人書面報告的素材。 此外,課程還安排有紀錄片賞析和台中市校外教學。This course is a dual-chair course of the Social and Communication Center of Donghai University, mainly focusing on urban redevelopment, urban renewal and housing justice in Taiwan, Mainland China and Hong Kong. We have developed from the intellectual concerns and specific research in urban society to create an academic discussion platform in Donghai, allowing students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait to have the opportunity to communicate, think together and criticize dialogue through the exploration of urban cases, and thus sort out their respective humanistic and social concerns. In addition to the teaching of relevant basic concepts by the instructor, this course will discuss seven important city cases: Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong. The most distinctive thing about this course is that in the City Case section, each class invites two academic experts who are familiar with the topic to give a one-hour lecture on the topic, and then discuss, ask and cross-discussion in the third hour. This will be a rare learning opportunity. As a general double-choice course, students from mainland China and Hong Kong students are welcome to participate in this course. In addition to lectures and discussions, the teaching teachers will also adopt the "Sucrates Teaching Method" to promote the development, discussion and dialogue between classmates and students. We will also use group discussions, topic research, and teaching methods of going to the stage to divide students in the social department into seven groups (common course students are also welcome to participate in group reports) to recognize the "one city" among these seven theme cities. Each group is responsible for: (1) After the presentation of the city you are acquainted, ask two to three questions and carry out QA discussion; (2) Complete the topic research of the city you are acquainted in one semester. The topics are customized by the group and will come on stage for 15-20 minutes of PPT report at the end of the period (two weeks before the midterm exam). We encourage students to report in division of labor and cooperation, conduct field surveys and interviews outside the school. The group specializes in research reports and can be converted into material for personal book reports of the group. In addition, the courses are also arranged for record analysis and Taichung off-campus teaching.
