Introduction to Thesis Writing
教育目標 Course Target
寫讀書摘要(memo)和學期報告(term paper)是社會學訓練的基本功。
「怎麼讀書、怎麼寫閱讀摘要或學期報告,可以獲得最大的學習效益?」是社會
系學生的普遍困擾。此外,若有更進一步的研究興趣者,也會有「如何進入研究
實作?如何寫出研究計畫?」的困擾。本課程的主要目的即是解決這些普遍困
擾。課程設計聚焦於研究論文的核心組成部分,透過「問題意識」、「研究設計」、
「論證結構」、「現象建立」、「標定的無知」及「策略性研究材料」等單元,以及
文獻搜尋、引文格式和簡報技巧等觀念和技巧的講解與實作,並以「文獻評讀」
或「研究計畫書」作為落實這些學習的工具,建立社會學研究與寫作的基本素養。
課程目標
本課程預期學生修完這門課後:
1. 懂得如何讀文章、寫報告。
2. 初步認識「研究」是什麼?包含哪些要素?需要哪些技巧?
3. 能夠看懂研究論文並寫出累積學習效益的「文獻評讀」。
4. 或許可以寫出可行的論文計畫書。
Writing reading summaries (memo) and term papers (term paper) are basic skills of sociology training.
"How to read, how to write reading summaries or term reports to get the greatest learning benefits?" is a social question
A common problem among department students. In addition, if you are interested in further research, there will also be "How to enter research"
Implementation? How to write a research plan? ” trouble. The main purpose of this course is to solve these common difficulties
disturb. The course design focuses on the core components of research papers, through "problem awareness", "research design",
Units such as "Argument Structure", "Phenomena Establishment", "Calibrated Ignorance" and "Strategic Research Materials", and
Explanation and implementation of concepts and techniques such as literature search, citation formats and presentation techniques, and use "literature review"
Or "Research Proposal" as a tool to implement these studies and establish basic literacy in sociological research and writing.
Course objectives
This course expects students to: After completing this course:
1. Know how to read articles and write reports.
2. A preliminary understanding of what “research” is? What elements are included? What skills are needed?
3. Be able to understand research papers and write a "literature review" of cumulative learning benefits.
4. Maybe write a feasible thesis proposal.
