說明永續性和永續發展的概念，提供清楚的原則架構，及環境保護在永續上的定位及作法。
Explain the concepts of sustainability and sustainable development, provide a clear principle framework, and the positioning and approach of environmental protection in sustainability.
課程概述 Course Description
永續性都市可以自行供應自己本身所需要的能源與食物，盡量減少對於週圍鄉村的依賴，並且盡量使都市的居民減少產生生態足跡。這樣的城市中，能夠對待周圍環境更加友善，減少污染、土地利用與全球暖化。使學生不僅具有深造的基礎，亦有從事環境污染防治及保育工作之就業能力。
A sustainable city can supply its own energy and food needs, minimize dependence on the surrounding countryside, and minimize the ecological footprint of urban residents. In such a city, we can be more friendly to the surrounding environment and reduce pollution, land use and global warming. This enables students to not only have the foundation for further studies, but also have the employability to engage in environmental pollution prevention and conservation work.
