經濟學主要研究理性的決策者，如何利用有限的資源，以滿足人類的慾望。大一經濟學共分二學期，第一學期(上學期)以個體經濟學為主，第二學期(下學期)以總體經濟學為主。上學期個體經濟學，主要介紹個別經濟單位，包含消費者、廠商、政府等，的決策行為。例如，消費者(代表需求面)在有限的預算如何消費可返族效用最大；廠商(代表供給面)在有限的投入成本下，如何生產與銷售，可使生產成本最小，或利潤最大。接著透過消費者的需求，與生產者的供給，在不同的市場達成消費均衡。篇幅最後，介紹在市場失靈的情況下政府的職能。Economics mainly studies how rational decision makers use limited resources to satisfy human desires. Economics in freshman year are divided into two periods. The first period (first period) is mainly based on individual economics, and the second period (second period) is mainly based on overall economics. In the last year, individual economics mainly introduces the decision-making behavior of individual economic units, including consumers, manufacturers, governments, etc. For example, how consumers (representing the demand side) can make the maximum return of the cost of consumption with limited budgets; how manufacturers (representing the supply side) produce and sell at limited investment costs, can minimize production costs or maximize profits. Then, through the needs of consumers and the supply of producers, consumption balance is achieved in different markets. Finally, the article introduces the government's responsibilities in the face of market failure.
