■ Course Contents
This course (two-study periods) describes the development of Western philosophy from ancient Greeks to the Middle Ages and the main ideas of various schools. The content includes (1) naturalism in the pre-Suz-era period; (2) Scholars and Sucrates; (3) Platz and Aristotle; (4) Philosophy in the Greek period; (5) Christianity and the Godfather's philosophy; (6) Medieval Academy philosophy.
本課程之規劃上學期講述的範圍自古希臘經古羅馬至中世紀之發展與主要的各家思想。內容包括（一）先蘇時期的自然學﹔（二）辯士與蘇格拉底﹔（三）柏拉圖與亞里士多德﹔（四）希臘化時期的哲學﹔（五）基督宗教與教父哲學﹔（六）中世紀經院哲學。
下學期主要講授自文藝復興以降至十九世紀的西方近代哲學史之主要思潮與哲學家思想，內容包括（一）文藝復興與近代自然哲學、（二）理性主義、（三）經驗主義、（四）啟蒙運動與近代政治哲學、（五）康德、（六）德國觀念論、（七）德國浪漫主義與民族主義思想，俾使學生對近代西方哲學中有關知識論、形上學、倫理學、政治與社會哲學等思想有一宏觀視野，熟悉西方哲學史之發展脈絡與基本知識，並且有利於銜接對當代西方哲學的學習。
The scope of this course was discussed in the previous academic period, from ancient Greeks to the development of the Middle Ages and the main ideas of various schools. The content includes (1) naturalism in the pre-Suz-era period; (2) Scholars and Sucrates; (3) Platz and Aristotle; (4) Philosophy in the Greek period; (5) Christianity and the Godfather's philosophy; (6) Medieval Academy philosophy.
The next period mainly teaches the main thoughts and philosophers' thoughts of modern Western philosophical history from the revival of literature and art to the 19th century. The contents include (1) revival of literature and art and modern natural philosophy, (2) rationalism, (3) experience theory, (4) enlightenment of Mongolia and modern political philosophy, (5) Kant, (6) Germany Contemplation, (7) German romanticism and nationalism thought, so that students can have a broad vision of knowledge, metaphysics, ethics, politics and social philosophy in modern Western philosophy, be familiar with the developmental structure and basic knowledge of Western philosophical history, and be conducive to learning of contemporary Western philosophy.
