本課程的主要目的是讓學生習得日本史之通史性基礎知識外，亦培養學生透過較宏觀的思考與觀察掌握日本歷史之時代特徵與文化特質，及了解日本與東亞及世界的互動關係。

The main purpose of this course is to allow students to gain the basic knowledge of general historic knowledge of Japanese history, and to cultivate students to master the dynasty and cultural characteristics of Japanese history through a more comprehensive thinking and observation, and to understand the interaction between Japan and East Asia and the world.
