先秦是中國散文發展的開端，也是文言語體形成的起始；熟悉先秦散文作品，可以奠定文言基礎，並掌握古典散文之基形。本課程透過閱讀講授，引導學生瞭解中國古典散文的形成，及先秦階段的散文類型與成就，深入探討此階段優秀作品之內涵與影響；為古典散文學習中不可或缺之一環。

The pre-Qin period was the beginning of the development of Chinese prose and the beginning of the formation of classical Chinese; being familiar with pre-Qin prose works can lay the foundation of classical Chinese and master the basic form of classical prose. Through reading and teaching, this course guides students to understand the formation of Chinese classical prose, the types and achievements of the pre-Qin stage, and deeply explores the connotation and influence of excellent works in this stage; it is an indispensable part of classical prose learning.

本課程為中文系大二選修課程。課程目標在引導學生深入瞭解先秦時期古典散文之起源、發展；透過選文閱讀講述，學生得以熟悉先秦重要之散文作家與作品，有效提升對文言文閱讀與理解之能力；並得以掌握中國古典散文發展之源流與脈絡。

This course is a sophomore course in the Chinese Department. The course goal is to guide students to understand the origin and development of classical prose in the pre-Qin period; through select article reading and remarks, students can become familiar with important prose writers and works in the pre-Qin period, effectively improving their ability to read and understand classical Chinese; and to master the origin and connection of the development of Chinese classical prose.
