研究所B組學程的宗旨在提供非建築本科大學畢業學士獲得建築專業訓練的機會，以期培育稱職而具備多樣專長素養的建築師。所有研習本學程的研究生除需修習完規定的建築設計課程與補修大學部相關專業技術課程外，尚需要在學程的最後階段完成論文設計始得結業。論文設計也是研究生展現建築專業訓練成果的機會。
The purpose of the institute's Group B program is to provide non-architecture undergraduates with the opportunity to obtain professional training in architecture, with a view to cultivating competent architects with diverse expertise. In addition to completing the prescribed architectural design courses and supplementary undergraduate professional and technical courses, all postgraduate students studying this course are also required to complete the thesis design in the final stage of the course to graduate. Thesis design is also an opportunity for graduate students to showcase their architectural professional training results.
