本課程目標希望引導學生關注社區理論發展與公共問題解決之關連，瞭解相關國家對社區治理與參與的重視程度，認識臺灣社區發展的歷程、現況與未來。The goal of this course is to guide students to pay attention to the relationship between the development of community theory and the solution of public problems, to understand the importance attached to community governance and participation in relevant countries, and to understand the process, current situation and future of community development in Taiwan.
本課程主題為「社區發展與治理」，將會聚焦於探討「社區為何必須發展？應朝哪些方向發展？應該如何發展？」再者，探討「治理」的觀點如何賦予社區發展新的思維與作法。
