本課程目標將社會工作研究置於社會與科學的脈絡中，立基於大學習得的社會工作研究方法內涵，進一步以社會研究的方法論為基礎，整合量化與質性研究取向，深化研究方法與技術的進階知能學習與實務應用能力。希望達到以下目標：
一.以研究的方法論為基礎，學習比較與整合進階的量化與質性研究概念,方法,與技術。
二.協助學生運用社會研究相關知能，結合個人的社會工作實務經驗，建構適當的研究設計與邏輯思維。
三, 學習有效使用各種社會工作研究的相關資訊及資料庫。
四. 學習客觀精確的評析社會工作相關期刊論文，及探討當代社會議題。The goal of this course is to place social work research in the context of society and science, based on the connotation of social work research methods acquired in college, further based on social research methodology, integrating quantitative and qualitative research orientations, and deepening the understanding of research methods and techniques. Advanced intellectual learning and practical application abilities. Hope to achieve the following goals:
1. Based on research methodology, learn to compare and integrate advanced quantitative and qualitative research concepts, methods, and techniques.
2. Assist students to use social research-related knowledge and combine personal social work practical experience to construct appropriate research designs and logical thinking.
3. Learn to effectively use relevant information and databases of various social work research.
4. Learn to objectively and accurately analyze social work-related journal articles and discuss contemporary social issues.
「社會工作研究法」為本系碩士班一年級下學期學生必修課程之一，本課程的講授乃延續大學部之基本社會工作研究方法內容，除複習社會工作研究方法之特性和基本概念外，將進一步講授研究的設計構想邏輯，包括：確認論文研究主題、研究正當性之探討、概念化、擬定研究之概念架構等。另外，本課程亦將探討實驗研究設計、非實驗性研究、質性研究方法、與評估研究方法在社會工作學科領域所扮演之角色。修課學生將可藉由本課程之學習及各種作業演練，逐步建構各自之碩士論文研究計劃。
"Social Work Research Methods" is one of the compulsory courses for first-year master's students in the second semester of this department. The teaching of this course continues the basic social work research methods content of the undergraduate department. In addition to reviewing the characteristics and basic concepts of social work research methods, The design and conception logic of the research will be further taught, including: confirming the research topic of the thesis, discussing the legitimacy of the research, conceptualizing, formulating the conceptual structure of the research, etc. In addition, this course will also explore the roles of experimental research design, non-experimental research, qualitative research methods, and evaluation research methods in the field of social work. Students taking this course will be able to gradually construct their own master's thesis research plan through the study of this course and various homework exercises.
