本門課是為了研究所的在職專班學生所特別開設的，其目的為增強各位同學的基本統計觀念，以利其未來進行研究論文的計量分析。
本門課著重於基礎的統計觀念介紹以及統計軟體EXCEL的操作。This course is specially developed for the on-the-job students of the institute. Its purpose is to enhance the students' basic statistical concepts so as to facilitate their future quantitative analysis of research papers.
