過去數十年間,人類不斷在經濟發展與環境保護的對立衝突中尋求解決方案,永續發展概念的誕生提供了雙贏的中間路線。全世界各政府皆視永續發展為國家發展的重要原則,但是,環境品質的惡化及自然資源的耗竭問題卻持續發生。除了必須進行人類社會態度及生活型態的轉變之外,國家各項系統的結構性改變與整體的設計與規劃更為永續發展是否成功的重要因素。因此,本課程主要目的在於培養學生面對及因應未來人類發展與生態環境的問題須具備的跨領域、跨世代思維;永續發展概念涵蓋的專業知識;實務操作永續發展設計與規劃的技能。本課程將實務探討人類社會朝永續發展目標邁進時,各項領域議題將如何規劃,包含有生產與消費、農業與糧食、能源與交通運輸、都市與建築等。本課程預計培養學生組織管理與企業經營、環境系統知識與核心議題、環境倫理與社會責任、跨科際溝通與學習與跨科際問題分析之能力。In the past few decades, mankind has been constantly seeking solutions to the conflict between economic development and environmental protection. The birth of the concept of sustainable development provides a win-win middle path. Governments around the world regard sustainable development as an important principle for national development. However, the deterioration of environmental quality and the depletion of natural resources continue to occur. In addition to the need to change human social attitudes and lifestyles, structural changes in various national systems and overall design and planning are more important factors in the success of sustainable development. Therefore, the main purpose of this course is to cultivate cross-field and cross-generational thinking that students must have to face and respond to future human development and ecological environment issues; professional knowledge covering the concept of sustainable development; and practical skills in sustainable development design and planning. . This course will practically explore how issues in various fields will be planned as human society moves towards the goal of sustainable development, including production and consumption, agriculture and food, energy and transportation, cities and architecture, etc. This course is expected to cultivate students' abilities in organizational management and business operations, environmental system knowledge and core issues, environmental ethics and social responsibility, interdisciplinary communication and learning, and interdisciplinary problem analysis.
