過去數十年間,人類不斷在經濟發展與環境保護的對立衝突中尋求解決方案,永續發展概念的誕生提供了雙贏的中間路線。全世界各政府皆視永續發展為國家發展的重要原則,但是,環境品質的惡化及自然資源的耗竭問題卻持續發生。除了必須進行人類社會態度及生活型態的轉變之外,國家各項系統的結構性改變與整體的設計與規劃更為永續發展是否成功的重要因素。因此,本課程主要目的在於培養學生面對及因應未來人類發展與生態環境的問題須具備的跨領域、跨世代思維;永續發展概念涵蓋的專業知識;實務操作永續發展設計與規劃的技能。本課程將實務探討人類社會朝永續發展目標邁進時,各項領域議題將如何規劃,包含有生產與消費、農業與糧食、能源與交通運輸、都市與建築等。本課程預計培養學生組織管理與企業經營、環境系統知識與核心議題、環境倫理與社會責任、跨科際溝通與學習與跨科際問題分析之能力。Over the past decades, humans have been constantly seeking solutions in the conflict between economic development and environmental protection, and the reproduction of the concept of permanent development has provided a double winning middle route. Governments around the world are seeing the importance of continuous development as a national development, but the problem of malignancy of environmental quality and depletion of natural resources continues to occur. In addition to the need to change human social conditions and lifestyles, the structural changes in the national systems and the overall design and planning are important factors in whether the sustainable development will be successful. Therefore, the main purpose of this course is to cultivate students' cross-domain and cross-generational thinking that meets and responds to future human development and ecological environments; professional knowledge covered by the concept of continuous development; and practical skills in operating continuous development design and planning. This course will explore how various domain issues will be planned as human society moves towards a permanent development goal, including production and consumption, agriculture and food, energy and transportation, urban and construction, etc. This course plans to cultivate the ability of student organization management and enterprise management, environmental system knowledge and core issues, environmental ethics and social responsibility, inter-scientific communication and learning and inter-scientific problem analysis.
