Students in the first and second years of the Department of Engineering and Design have already taken basic courses, such as design history, design foundations, expression techniques of engineering graphics, factory internships, application of materials, etc. If they can then introduce product design concepts, they can make their personal ideas and creativity concrete. , which will definitely give the entire design course a complete coherence.
Through the appreciation of arts and crafts, this course provides a continuous analysis and explanation of China's unique handicrafts, their eras and works. This course will cultivate students' keen observation and data integration abilities, and use eight to ten classes during the semester. During this time, students are taught a simple lost-wax casting method, allowing students to design, draw, engrave, and wax-cast finished products on their own, stimulating their personal creative thinking and practical operation abilities. Let this course lay a good foundation for students' future.
Professional competencies for teaching courses
