使同學了解西方建築發展的脈胳和影響其發展的各種因素，做為進一步認識西方近代建築的基礎知識，並從而建立建築發展的歷史觀和世界觀。It enables students to understand the development of Western architecture and the various factors that influence its development, as a basis for further understanding of modern Western architecture, and thereby establish a historical perspective and world view of architectural development.
