Through the introduction of various theoretical theories of international relations, research on international environmental politics and sustainable development, we enrich the learning connotation of international relations and environmental politics research and expand international vision.
本課程從介紹國際關係之概論出發，藉由分析層次、理論基礎等介紹，輔以環境政治之重要名詞界定，以建立修課同學對於國際關係與環境政治認識之基礎。接著，分別介紹「現實主義」、「自由主義」、「建構主義」等三大國際關係理論，作為其與環境政治結合的重要背景。此外，透過介紹影響美國環境政策的國際、國內因素，了解國際環境政治中不同行為者之間的互動與影響。最後，將重點放在環境議題中「人口」、「水源」、「糧食」等相關省思面向。並以「環境永續」與「經濟發展」間之對話，及環境議題的「雙層博弈」特性等探討議題做結。
This course is developed from the general introduction of international relations, and is defined by important terms in environmental politics through analysis levels and theoretical basis to establish the foundation for the course students to understand international relations and environmental politics. Next, the three major international relations theories, including "realism", "liberalism", and "constructionism", are introduced separately as important backgrounds for its integration with environmental politics. In addition, through the introduction of international and internal factors that affect U.S. environmental policy, we can understand the interaction and influence between different actors in international environmental politics. Finally, we will focus on the related reflections on "population", "water source", "food" and other related aspects in the environmental issues. It also concludes discussion topics such as the dialogue between "Environmental Continuation" and "Economic Development" and the "dual-level game" characteristics of environmental discussion topics.
