本課程介紹中國的歷代官制和政治制度。首先介紹中國政治制度的相關內容，再發掘其背後隱藏的政治觀，並進一步反省思考其政治智慧。本課程除了在知識專業尚探討真相之外，亦嚐試古學今用的可能。課程內容包括中國政治制度的特色、皇帝制度、宰相制度、中央官制、財稅制度、科舉制度、官僚系統之貪瀆問題、壻吏師爺與仕紳、監察制度和公文制度等。
