政黨政治(party politics)和選舉分別為現代政治體系運作中,兩個極為核心的概念。兩者之間不僅相互影響,並且也都成為影響政治系統運作的重要變數。當代民主政治的運作,政黨與選舉更是直接影響民主穩定與存續的關鍵。是以,瞭解政黨政治和選舉的內涵,也成為瞭解民主政治內涵的必要條件。本課程分為兩個部分進行。第一個部分以政黨政治為主軸,包括政黨的緣起、組織、各類型政黨的比較、政黨體系比較、當代政黨體系的變遷、政黨在政治體系中的功能、黨內民主與提名、乃至於組織政府等等。第二部分以選舉為主軸,包括選舉在民主政治中的功能、比較選舉制度、選舉制度與政黨體系的互動、選舉與投票行為等等。Party politics and elections are two extremely core concepts in the operation of the modern political system. The two not only influence each other, but also become important variables that affect the operation of the political system. The operation of contemporary democratic politics, political parties and elections are the key to directly affecting the stability and survival of democracy. Therefore, understanding the connotation of party politics and elections has become a necessary condition for understanding the connotation of democratic politics. This course is conducted in two parts.
