本課程主要目的在讓學生了解全球化的成因及歷史,在面對全球化的挑戰,個人、企業與政府在決策上應如何思考。探討貿易、企業與資本與金融市場的全球化,以及美元成為國際主要支付貨幣等經濟議題,以及全球化帶來的消費、文化與政治等非經濟層面的影響。除此之外,課程也將討論反全球化的風潮,全球化與本土化的衝突,以及全球在地化的影響。本課程除課堂講授外,將要求學生分組挑選全球化的議題,撰寫報告並加以討論,如人口、貧富、糧食、能源、暖化與環境衝擊等。希望經由本課程可以拓展學生的視野,帶給同學全球化的思考及觀念,了解全球化對個人生活及就業的影響,並預作準備。The main purpose of this course is to allow students to understand the causes and history of globalization, and how individuals, businesses and governments should think about decision-making in the face of the challenges of globalization. 全球化是指全球聯繫不斷增強,人類生活及企業的經營已經跨業國界,不只侷限在一個國家或一個區域,彼此之間緊密的連結在一起,形成一個生命共同體。本課程將從不同層面討論造成全球化的因素,包括交通、運輸、通訊及資訊,進而探究全球化對個人、企業、社會及國家不同面向的影響。討論的議題包括貿易的全球化、企業的全球化、勞動市場的全球化、資本與金融市場的全球化、美元成為國際主要支付貨幣等經濟議題。貿易的全球化,探討貿易自由化對全球生產及消費的影響;企業的全球化,探討全球化的生產與銷售以及業務的外包對各國經濟的影響,以及企業如何從事全球運籌與供應鏈的管理。資本與金融市場的全球化,探討國際資金的流動對企業籌資、本國金融市場及實體經濟的影響。除此之外,本課程也將討論全球在地化與反全球化,以及全球化對各國文化及政治等非經濟層面的影響
Globalization refers to the continuous strengthening of global connections. Human life and business operations have crossed national boundaries and are not limited to one country or region. They are closely connected with each other to form a community of life.
