The field of supply chain management focuses on quantitative methods that aid in effective decision-making in a business environment. • Case Study: You will gain insights from logical inference in supply chain management. To give you experience in analyzing and solving cases, assigned case study and performing case analysis will be in class. • Mathematical Models: You will formulate, solve, and interpret mathematical models from various applications areas in supply chain management. • Software: To develop your expertise in using and solving supply chain problems, this course will require the use of personal computers and spreadsheet-based decision tool soft- ware. 課程概述 Course Description

在資訊科技的環境下,產業競爭優勢已從產品功能差異化轉為成本與服務之差異化,企業除需考量本身內部資源的有效整合與應用外,更需考量與上下游廠商的資源整合,才能有效降低庫存,縮短前置時間,以快速反映顧客的需求。同時也因資訊科技的發達,使得企業與上下游廠商的整合,已不再僅是概念的介紹,目前已發展成為可實作的技術。然而我國中小企業因受限於人才,技術及資源的不足,在供應鏈管理的施行上,仍有下列困難 1. 對企業經營的本質並未完全了解,使得供應鏈管理較為侷限於片段的知識,而忽略上下游廠商及客戶的整體整合,導致無法制定有效的供應鏈經營策略 2. 資訊科技環境下,管理知識與技能變化快速,管理者因有限理性,無法有效將新技術應用於實際管理工作。 3. 同業與異業間資訊阻絕,彼此知識流通不易,導致供應鏈管理施行成本過大。 因此本課程將從兩方面來探討: 1.在經營本質方面,我們將探討企業間的關係,包含企業本身、供應商及客戶,如何在一個互利的情況下,建立有效的供應鏈系統,以創造雙贏的局面。 2.在管理技術上,我們將探討上下游企業間關係的資訊流通,如何應用現有的資訊科技,將上游廠商及客戶有效整合並應用至異業間資訊整合。 本課程進行步驟首先以TOC(限制理論)應用在企業生產製造供應鏈效率的提升。其次以 Benchmarking個案介紹供應鏈管理的作法,包括宏碁、金士頓、友訊、明泰等公司個案。並以交易成本理論探討供應鏈經營的本質,除理論介紹外,並提供重要文獻供學員閱讀,包含我國航太產業、汽車電子產業、手工具產業、醫療產業、LED等產業個案。最後並由學員分組介紹及討論所任職公司或產業的供應鏈管理策略。
In the information technology environment, industrial competitive advantages have shifted from product function differentiation to cost and service differentiation. In addition to the effective integration and application of their own internal resources, companies need to consider resource integration with upstream and downstream manufacturers. In order to effectively reduce inventory and shorten lead time, we can quickly reflect customer needs. At the same time, due to the development of information technology, the integration of enterprises and upstream and downstream manufacturers is no longer just an introduction to concepts, but has now developed into an implementable technology. However, my country's small and medium-sized enterprises still face the following difficulties in the implementation of supply chain management due to lack of talents, technology and resources. 1. The essence of business operations is not fully understood, which makes supply chain management more limited to fragmented knowledge and ignores the overall integration of upstream and downstream manufacturers and customers, resulting in the inability to formulate effective supply chain management strategies. 2. In the information technology environment, management knowledge and skills change rapidly, and managers are unable to effectively apply new technologies to actual management work due to limited rationality. 3. Information is blocked between peers and different industries, making it difficult for mutual knowledge to flow, resulting in excessive supply chain management implementation costs. Therefore, this course will explore two aspects: 1. In terms of the nature of operations, we will explore the relationship between enterprises, including the enterprises themselves, suppliers and customers, and how to establish an effective supply chain system in a mutually beneficial situation to create a win-win situation. 2. In terms of management technology, we will explore the information circulation in the relationship between upstream and downstream enterprises, and how to apply existing information technology to effectively integrate upstream manufacturers and customers and apply it to information integration between different industries. The steps of this course first apply TOC (theory of constraints) to improve the efficiency of the enterprise's manufacturing supply chain. Next, Benchmarking cases are used to introduce supply chain management practices, including cases from companies such as Acer, Kingston, D-X, and Mingtai. It also uses transaction cost theory to explore the essence of supply chain management. In addition to theoretical introduction, important documents are provided for students to read, including cases from my country's aerospace industry, automotive electronics industry, hand tool industry, medical industry, LED and other industries. Finally, students will be divided into groups to introduce and discuss the supply chain management strategies of the company or industry they work for.
