本課程之主要目的在介紹現今資本主義經濟下可能產生之問題與危機，進一步探討在經濟學之架構下，加上綠色思維或環保元素後之變革，培養學生面對現今之經濟社會問題，在永續發展之思維下對各種經濟社會產生之問題及其可行的解決之道得以充分了解。

The main purpose of this course is to introduce the problems and crises that may arise under today's capitalist economy, to further explore the changes that can occur under the framework of economics, with the addition of green thinking or environmental protection elements, to train students to face today's economic and social problems, and to fully understand various economic and social problems and their feasible solutions under the thinking of sustainable development.

綠色經濟學(Green Economics)是在永續(sustainability)的前提下，探討人類經濟活動的一項新興學門。因為此為一新興學門，尚未成為一門成熟的學科，待解決的問題仍有許多；然而，在全球間興起之環保意識下，應以綠色經濟之思維方式來面對現今全球所湧現的各種環境、社會乃至經濟的危機。
