What processes create this diversity? Why are some species so 'fit' with the habitats in which they live? What are the origins of the thousands of living and extinct species that live in them? How did species arise? The course design mainly teaches students important concepts of evolutionary theory. The units include earth history, archaeological fossils, systematic classification, ethnic inheritance, natural selection, fitness and adaptation, sexual selection, speciation, evolutionary trends, and molecules. Evolution, evolution and genesis, species extinction, human origins, etc. In addition, the course will also explore the application of evolution in modern medicine, public health, agriculture, psychology, cultural studies, and conservation biology.
