科技與物理的授課內容涵蓋物理學發展的歷史足跡及基本內涵,並進而介紹科學家與工程師如何從這些基礎知識開發新的能源種類與使用方式,以及新的工具,歷經數次的工業革命,形成近一百年來的科技生活。科學家又再利用這些科技成就,開闊人類的視野,觀測更宏偉遠大的宇宙疆界和微觀的奈米世界。授課老師選出物理領域中最具代表性與重要性的科學成就,在有限的課程時間中介紹給非理、工、農主修的大學部學生,作為其通識與博雅教育的選修課程。課程的進行方式除了利用投影片的說明之外,也利用多媒體影片的播放來提高同學的學習興趣。近年本課程也獲得公民素養陶朔計畫的補助與物理系的支持,開始購置演示教學所需之設備,俟各項設備建置完成之後,將陸續將演示教學的項目融入授課內容。最終之目的在培養同學能比較不同學科間的關聯,學習人類如何建構邏輯思維體系、認識大自然以及探索生命起源之根本價值,從師法自然,進而擴大其視野與胸襟,建立終生奮鬥的目標。The teaching content of technology and physics covers the historical footprint and basic connotation of the development of physics, and then introduces how scientists and engineers use these basic knowledge to develop new energy types and usage methods, as well as new tools. After several industrial revolutions, it has formed Technological life in the past hundred years. Scientists then use these scientific and technological achievements to broaden human horizons and observe the more majestic and far-reaching boundaries of the universe and the microscopic nanometer world. The lecturer selects the most representative and important scientific achievements in the field of physics and introduces them to undergraduate students who are not majoring in science, engineering, or agriculture within a limited time period as elective courses for their general education and liberal arts education. In addition to using slides to explain the course, the course also uses multimedia video playback to enhance students' interest in learning. In recent years, this course has also received subsidies from the Civic Literacy Taoshuo Project and support from the Department of Physics, and has begun to purchase equipment required for demonstration teaching. Once the equipment is completed, demonstration teaching projects will be gradually integrated into the teaching content. The ultimate goal is to train students to compare the connections between different disciplines, learn how humans construct logical thinking systems, understand nature, and explore the fundamental value of the origin of life. They can learn from nature, expand their vision and mind, and establish lifelong goals.
