本課程主要是建立對於孔孟荀哲學的基本認識，此外，也希望於課程討論之中，使同學能對於孔孟荀對於心性論的體會能夠有一套系統性的理解，並思考三者對於心性天地看法之所以不同的原因，便在於所處的時代背景不同所致，而對於此類背景的理解，也成為本課程於原典中的討論方向，期望同學於修習本課程之後，能具有處理此類議題的基本能力，同時能體會孔孟荀生命智慧的光彩!

This course is mainly to establish a basic understanding of the philosophy of Confucius, Mencius and Xun. In addition, it is also hoped that during the course discussion, students can have a systematic understanding of Confucius, Mencius and Xun’s understanding of the theory of mind, and think about the reasons why the three have different views on the world of mind. This is due to the different backgrounds of the times, and the understanding of this background has also become the discussion direction of this course in the original classics. I hope that after taking this course, students will have the basic ability to deal with such issues, and at the same time, they can appreciate the brilliance of the life wisdom of Confucius, Mencius and Xun!
