我國公民對於是否應由自己參與審判少發議論，社會卻對司法時有批判，此情此景，並不陌生。因此讓公民立於與法官相同之角度，全程參與刑事審判程序，踐行正當法律程序，進行公平審判，落實無罪推定原則，應是我國刑事審判方略發展的重要方向，課程希望同學藉此理解公民參與刑事審判制度的幾個基本議題，透過課程講授與分組討論，思考公民參與刑事審判制度建置與現行刑事訴訟法制嵌合問題。

Our country's citizens seldom discuss whether they should participate in trials, but society often criticizes the judiciary. This situation is not unfamiliar to us. Therefore, allowing citizens to participate in the criminal trial process from the same perspective as the judge, practice due legal procedures, conduct fair trials, and implement the principle of presumption of innocence should be an important direction for the development of our country's criminal trial strategy. The course hopes that students will understand several basic issues of citizen participation in the criminal trial system, and through course lectures and group discussions, think about the integration of the establishment of a citizen participation criminal trial system and the current criminal procedure legal system.
