一、在諸多藝術表現形式之下，瞭解由書寫出發的創作型態。
二、從書寫出發，深化學生對文化本體的思考與理解。
三、體驗書寫藝術與其他創作、文化間的共通，及其發展的可能。
四、逐步提升台灣地區書寫藝術創作，為中、遠程目標。

從傳統書法談起，廣泛地談及近50年來新式漢字書藝的表現手法與創作內涵，進而回饋到學生的書藝創作之中。
在每週的授課與創作計畫討論中，除協助學生深化作品內涵、完成創作之外，亦藉由深入的討論機制完成作品的論述。
在形式與內涵兼備的主旨下，期以培育出台灣當代書藝創作的新生代力量。

Starting from traditional calligraphy, we extensively talked about the expression techniques and creative connotations of new Chinese calligraphy in the past 50 years, and then fed back into students' calligraphy creations.
In weekly lectures and creative project discussions, in addition to helping students deepen the connotation of their works and complete their creations, they also complete the discussion of their works through an in-depth discussion mechanism.
With the purpose of having both form and connotation, it is hoped to cultivate a new generation of contemporary calligraphy creation in Taiwan.
