促進學生對西方當代美術潮流的認識，藉以增進當代藝術創作媒材使用之基本認知；並透過課程單元的安排共同討論發展出與自然、人文環境及個人日常生活可結合、對話的創作形式和內容；培養學生理解創作主題、內容與形式之間的關係並能轉化以不同媒材組構作品的能力。

Promote students' understanding of Western contemporary art trends, thereby enhancing the basic understanding of the use of media in contemporary art creation; and through the arrangement of course units, joint discussions and development of creative forms and content that can be combined with and in dialogue with nature, the humanistic environment and personal daily life; cultivate students' ability to understand the relationship between creative themes, content and form, and to transform the use of different media to construct works.
