1. To cultivate students’ basic knowledge and understanding of elder care issues under the trend of aging.
2. Cultivate students' ability to explore social care issues arising from the aging and teenage population trends.
3. Train students to analyze the development trends of elderly care issues in Taiwan and possible difficulties they may face in the future.
4. Comprehensively analyze new strategies and practices for elderly care in advanced countries.
5. Cultivate students’ ability to evaluate and analyze elderly care issues.

高齡者人數增加、高齡者平均餘命的延長及家庭照顧功能減弱，讓高齡著照顧問題呈現持續性與變異性的動態後果，人口高齡化與少子女化趨勢下所產生之健康照護問題，為重要的社會福利議題。
本課程將針對高齡化社會所衍生的老人照顧問題，進行專題討論，以期學生具備對老人照顧的議題的理論與實務面的專業知識，並培養具有老化趨勢下老人照顧服務新策略及新思維。

The increase in the number of the elderly, the extension of the average life expectancy of the elderly, and the weakening of family care functions have given rise to the dynamic consequences of persistence and variability in the care of the elderly. The health care issues arising from the trends of population aging and underage have become important social welfare issues.
This course will conduct special discussions on the elderly care issues arising from an aging society, with the aim of equipping students with theoretical and practical professional knowledge on elderly care issues, and cultivating new strategies and new thinking for elderly care services under the aging trend.
