康德的倫理學向來被視為義務論的典範，然而有部份學者卻主張他的倫理學其實是一種結果論。本課程的目的在於檢視結果論的解讀（包括Herman，Wood，Guyer與Cummiskey等人的詮釋），以及堅持義務論的解釋。

Kant's ethics has always been regarded as a model of deontology. However, some scholars maintain that his ethics is actually a kind of consequentialism. The purpose of this course is to examine consequentialist interpretations (including those by Herman, Wood, Guyer, and Cummiskey), as well as interpretations that adhere to deontology.
