選擇當代重大環境議題，經由演講、小組討論、專題研究與實際參與，感受認知環境的挑戰，分析環境問題的前因後果，探討解決問題的策略目標與方法技術，並實際參與解決問題的過程，使環境的困境轉為人類文明發展的機會。

Select major contemporary environmental issues, and through lectures, group discussions, special research and actual participation, experience the challenges of cognitive environment, analyze the causes and consequences of environmental problems, explore strategies, goals, methods and technologies to solve problems, and actually participate in the process of solving problems, so as to turn environmental dilemmas into opportunities for the development of human civilization.

本課程屬通識自然學科領域。本課程主要介紹當代重要環境議題，探索其歷史背景及產生的原因，討論解決問題的策略與方法。
希望學生通過此課程後培養以下能力：
1. 針對問題，蒐集相關資訊的能力
2. 整理相關資訊，獲得結論之能力
3. 正確表達自己看法，並與別人分享溝通的能力
4.成熟研判環境議題並委身參與的能力

This course belongs to the field of general natural science. This course mainly introduces important contemporary environmental issues, explores their historical background and causes, and discusses strategies and methods for solving problems.
It is hoped that students will develop the following abilities after passing this course:
1. Ability to collect relevant information in response to problems
2. The ability to organize relevant information and draw conclusions
3. Ability to express one’s opinions correctly and share communication with others
4. Ability to maturely analyze and judge environmental issues and commit to participation
