課程目標:
˙藉由十八週的課程，以專題討論、寫作報導的方式﹐讓同學以新聞學5W1H的基本構成要素，進入複雜、治絲亦棼的社會議題。並試以抽絲剝繭的方式理解問題核心，建立其相對獨立的社會意識與認知的可能性，進而與社會學研究方法中之質化研究做出鑲嵌。
˙閱讀三本以上專業典籍。
˙ 能夠以一千五百字的篇幅，提綱挈領的將當前發生的社會議題深入淺出的表達。
˙ 在就業的職場競爭中，增加競爭強項﹐以利工作機會之取得(近年來不論行政機關之國考或企業機構媒體人才招募﹐多採公開招考形式﹐在招考時中文、英文、時事經常為必考的項目﹐社會議題報導多為主流媒體之必備)。

Course objectives:
˙Through the 18-week course, students can use the basic components of 5W1H in journalism to enter complex and complex social issues through special discussions and writing reports. And try to understand the core of the problem by peeling off the cocoon, establishing the possibility of its relatively independent social consciousness and cognition, and then integrating it with the qualitative research in sociological research methods.

˙In the workplace competition for employment, increase competitive strengths to facilitate the acquisition of job opportunities (in recent years, whether it is the national examination of administrative agencies or the recruitment of media talents in corporate institutions, open recruitment methods are often used. Chinese, English, and current affairs are often required items in the recruitment, and reporting on social issues is mostly required by mainstream media).
