本課程是為對經濟系大一新生所設計。政治對經濟的影響，是自古以來不變的事實，正如經濟對政治的影響是無所不在。目前國際事務也相當受到廣泛注意的領域。國際體系也受到政治與經濟雙邊影響。本課程目標是建立學習的態度與思辨的方法。

This course is designed for first-year students majoring in Economics. The influence of politics on economy is an unchanging fact since ancient times, just as the influence of economy on politics is omnipresent. International affairs are also an area that has received considerable attention at present. The international system is also influenced bilaterally by politics and economics. The goal of this course is to establish learning attitudes and critical thinking methods.

本課程試圖幫助學習者深入瞭解政治事務。一方面回顧長期累積的重要概念；另一方面試圖說明這些概念和21世紀初期真實世界間的關聯性，並試圖從實證角度闡明政治結構和運作過程。其中包括個人政治信念和作為，以及團體和國家的變化情形。

This course attempts to provide learners with an in-depth understanding of political affairs. On the one hand, it reviews the important concepts accumulated over a long period of time; on the other hand, it attempts to illustrate the correlation between these concepts and the real world in the early 21st century, and attempts to elucidate the political structure and operation process from an empirical perspective. These include personal political beliefs and actions, as well as changes in groups and countries.
