1、本課程為中文系必修課程，作為研讀國學以至掌握古文明的工具學科。主要介紹中國文字的字形、字義和演變歷史，讓同學對於本國文字有一正確的認識，從而加強同學對於本國文學，以至於文化的了解。
2、 文字學是中文學科中最接近科學的一門課程，強調訓練學生判別字形的正確方向，掌握文字的真正解讀。本課程能增強學生邏輯思維，值科學方法的訓練，增加學生在學習上的自信心。
3、 本課程具實用功能，灌輸學生正確的字形了解，對同學將來在漢語教學和漢字教學上有重要的幫助。

1. This course is a compulsory course for the Chinese Department and serves as a tool for studying Chinese studies and even mastering ancient civilizations. It mainly introduces the glyphs, meanings and evolution history of Chinese characters, so that students can have a correct understanding of their own characters, thereby enhancing their understanding of their own literature and culture.
2. Philology is the course closest to science among Chinese subjects. It emphasizes training students to identify the correct direction of glyphs and master the true interpretation of characters. This course can enhance students' logical thinking, train them in scientific methods, and increase students' self-confidence in learning.
3. This course has practical functions and instills students with a correct understanding of glyphs, which will be of great help to students in teaching Chinese and Chinese characters in the future.
