本課程除介紹各種文學類別（詩歌、小說、散文、戲曲、電影）之風格特色外，也包含文學功能、文學批評、文學類別、文學傳播等基礎文學理論與概念，並擬藉由文學知識的引介，讓學生能掌握文學與其他學科的關聯性，如語言學、歷史學、心理學等，透過古典、現代相關文本的閱讀與理論印證，擴展學生的文學視野與知識。可作為後續文學發展史、文學批評史之基礎課程。

In addition to introducing the stylistic characteristics of various literary categories (poems, novels, prose, operas, and films), this course also includes basic literary theories and concepts such as literary functions, literary criticism, literary categories, and literary communication. Through the introduction of literary knowledge, this course aims to enable students to grasp the correlation between literature and other disciplines, such as linguistics, history, psychology, etc., and to expand students' literary vision and knowledge through the reading and theoretical verification of classical and modern related texts. It can be used as a basic course for subsequent literary development history and literary criticism history.
