「現代理論與趨勢」(Current Practices) 是一堂專門開給作曲主修與電子琴主修的必修課程. 本課程的目標是提供修課學生深入且徹底研讀與分析樂曲的技巧, 曲目為十九世紀末至二十世紀中期各創作學派的代表作品. 指定曲目(target study)在學期初即列入課程大綱, 其研讀進度則視學生的需要及其課堂表現來做調整, 並適時加入補充教材或更換曲目. 由於這是專給學習創作者的進階課程, 因此授課採“independent study”的方式, 任課老師的角色著重在課堂中與學生共同思辨、研究討論的過程, 盡量減少單向的知識傳播; 而該生的隨堂報告與參與課堂討論的狀況為主要的成績評量依據. 隨堂考或學期考會因著學習效率與進度的考量列為可能的評分方式. 由於此課程是超小班制, 且修課學生都是同時與我修習一對一作曲課的學生, 因此藉著深入研究重要曲目, 可順勢延伸至各學派寫作手法的探討;根據往年開課的經驗, 這樣的課程是最能提供學生在創作上最實際的啟發與幫助."Current Practices" is a required course specifically for composition majors and electronic keyboard majors. The goal of this course is to provide students with the skills to study and analyze music in depth and thoroughly. The repertoire is from the late 19th century. to the mid-twentieth century, representative works of various creative schools. The designated repertoire (target study) is included in the course syllabus at the beginning of the semester, and the study progress is adjusted according to the needs of the students and their classroom performance, and supplementary teaching materials are added or replaced in a timely manner. Repertoire. Since this is an advanced course designed for learning creators, the teaching method is "independent study". The role of the classroom teacher focuses on the process of thinking, research and discussion with students in the classroom, minimizing one-way knowledge transmission. ; The student's class reports and participation in class discussions are the main basis for performance evaluation. Class exams or semester exams will be listed as possible scoring methods due to the consideration of learning efficiency and progress.
