教育目標 Course Target

1. 建立對質性研究方法的初步理解。 2. 協助修課者探索適合自己研究主題及問題意識的質性研究方法。 社會科學領域裡的「質性研究方法」一詞,至少包含「資料收集方法」、「質 性研究取向」、「質性研究方法學」等不同意涵。 資料收集方法為取得研究所需資料的方式(如參與觀察、深度訪談、檔案檔 等),很少質性研究只用單一「資料收集方法」,但同一種方法取得的資料,通常 能以不同「質性研究取徑」來分析。 所謂質性研究「取徑」(qualitative "approach")是有關如何執行質性研究 的一套思維,而特定取徑則或隱或顯地描述質性研究目標、研究者角色、研究階 段及資料收集方法。通常在質性研究導論裡被引介的取徑包括現象學、紮根理論 等。研究取徑通常根據特定理論或方法學觀點啟發而發展出來,因而有獨特的知 識論或方法學預設、與特定理論取徑或問題意識有較高親和力,同時也有相對適 切的資料收集方法(如參與觀察)。此外,也可以根據受理論限定或通用的程度、 資料處理的規範性程度(如明確的分析程式),以及對問題意識或實質議題的特 異性(如權力關係、行動意義、商品交換等),而區別或建構不同的質性研究取 徑。1. 課程概述 Course Description

質化研究是一門社會科學領域常用的研究方法論課程,本課程介紹餐旅領域常使用之質化研究方法的觀點與研究過程,以文本分析研究為主認識質化研究特質,詮釋典範的相關觀點、量化與質化研究差異、質性研究企劃過程、資料收集方法及技巧、研究倫理、寫作方式等;並協助同學選擇碩士論文主題、找出問題意識、整理文獻、擬出研究架構,撰寫研究大綱、並執行質化研究過程。
