從全球化的各種定義與理論探討當前國際社會所面臨的實際情況與各類課題。全球化一詞是一個既時髦流行又富有爭議的概念，無論在通俗文獻還是在科學文獻中，它都被用來描述一種過程、一種狀態、一個體系、一股力量或一個時代。為了給同學們一個更清晰的觀念、本課程在介紹相關的理論與定義時，也試著借用現實生活中的事例使其具體化。希望同學們在增加認識之餘，還能提升就業與升學的競爭力。
全球化的各議題很多，主要的有政治全球化、經濟全球化、文化全球化。還有環境問題全球化、社會問題全球化和人口遷移。本課程特別注意恐怖主義的全球化、以及資訊、網路(絡)、傳播與全球化和軍事(組織化暴力)全球化。最後，我們要反思全球化的影響和利弊。

Explore the actual situation and various issues currently faced by the international society from various definitions and theories of globalization. The term globalization is a concept that is both fashionable and controversial. Whether in popular literature or scientific literature, it is used to describe a process, a state, a system, a force or an era. In order to give students a clearer concept, when introducing relevant theories and definitions, this course also tries to use examples from real life to make them concrete. I hope that in addition to increasing their knowledge, students can also improve their competitiveness for employment and further education.
There are many topics of globalization, the main ones are political globalization, economic globalization and cultural globalization. There is also the globalization of environmental issues, the globalization of social issues and population migration. This course pays special attention to the globalization of terrorism, as well as the globalization of information, networks (networks), communication and globalization, and military (organized violence). Finally, we need to reflect on the impacts, pros and cons of globalization.
