This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the basic principles and related theories of digital communication. The content mainly covers the characteristics of digital communication signals and systems, the best receiver for Gaussian noise channels, carrier and symbol synchronization and Gaussian operation in limited bandwidth. Topics such as digital transmission of noise channels will be of practical help to students in the course for future research or for taking advanced communication courses.
