本課程乃專為喜愛戲劇藝術、略具英文能力，性好思考、探索的東海學生量身訂造，內容貫串莎翁生平、語言風格、悲劇、喜劇、十四行詩，以及劇場演出等單元，由外文系蔡奇璋老師以中、英文(中文為主，英文為輔)進行導覽，期使與課學生能在趣味和深度兼顧的情況下，原汁原味地品嚼莎翁文字、意像之美，從而深入淺出地領受莎翁作品的精髓，培養欣賞莎劇之能力，同時強化本身的英語造詣及人生觀照。This course is tailor-made for Tunghai students who love dramatic art, have some English skills, and are good at thinking and exploring. The content runs through units such as Shakespeare’s life, language style, tragedy, comedy, sonnets, and theater performance. , taught in Chinese and English (mainly Chinese) by teacher Cai Qizhang from the Department of Foreign Languages , English supplemented) conducts guided tours, hoping to enable students taking the class to appreciate the beauty of Shakespeare's words and images with both interest and depth in mind, so as to understand the essence of Shakespeare's works in a simple and easy-to-understand manner and cultivate appreciation.
