本課程乃專為喜愛戲劇藝術、略具英文能力，性好思考、探索的東海學生量身訂造，內容貫串莎翁生平、語言風格、悲劇、喜劇、十四行詩，以及劇場演出等單元，由外文系蔡奇璋老師以中、英文(中文為主，英文為輔)進行導覽，期使與課學生能在趣味和深度兼顧的情況下，原汁原味地品嚼莎翁文字、意像之美，從而深入淺出地領受莎翁作品的精髓，培養欣賞莎劇之能力，同時強化本身的英語造詣及人生觀照。This course is tailored for students who like drama art, have a little English ability, are good at thinking and exploration. The content focuses on Shakespeare's life, language style, tragedy, comedy, fourteen poems, and drama performances.
