「在地老化(Aging in place)」概念,讓高齡者可獨立自主居住生活並參與社會活動,居住環境能夠滿足其生活「老有其所」的需求;落實「以人為本、永續發展」的價值觀,重視「創意設計」以提升擴大產業產能及附加價值。因此,未來高齡者勢必成為消費市場中具有份量的消費族群,這也是值得重視的設計課題。本課程以生活居家環境探討高齡者居家所面臨的困難,著眼於高齡者生理機能退化,擬將資訊科技(Information Technology)導入高齡者居家環境設計之中,藉此提升高齡者群自主生活之居住品質。讓修習同學具有高齡生活產品設計概念與能力為目標。The concept of "Aging in place" allows high-agers to live independently and participate in social activities, so that the living environment can meet their needs for "oldness has its own place"; implement the value view of "people-oriented and sustainable development", and emphasize "creative design" to improve and expand industrial capacity and additional value. 本課程由「人本關懷」為出發點,以產品設計觀點探討高齡者適合生活環境與物件設計,導入IT技術,著重實地實習,專家演講領導、共同討論方式,考察探討高齡生活環境產品設計應有之方式及有效的計畫手法。
介紹邁入21世紀,「人本關懷」設計共通核心價值之實踐,舉實例說明這種設計思維如何被強化而融入於設計活動中。而這些設計思維也是從事高齡者相關探討與設計時,重要的依循。在台灣邁入高齡化社會的同時,台灣人口與家庭結構逐漸改變,在這前提下,討論居住型態之不同對高齡者所帶來之生活產生影響。首先就生活空間規劃合理性、浴廁設施與使用習慣安全性、家用3C產品的使用習慣與需求、居家輔具與照顧器具設計等方向進行課程講義。並邀請室內設計、衛浴設計、產業設計等專家以實務經驗,進行演說。也將進行校外體驗參訪。

This course is developed by "Human-centered Responsibility". It uses product design perspectives to explore the suitable living environment and object design for high-age people, and introduces IT technology, focusing on local practice, experts speak and conduct joint discussion methods, and examine and explore the methods and effective planning techniques that are required for high-age life environment product design.
Introducing the 21st century, the "Humanity-Focus" designs the reality of the common core values, and gives examples to how this design thinking is enhanced and integrated into the design activities. These design thinking is also an important guide for the discussion and design of those who are engaged in the advanced. While Taiwan has entered a highly aged society, Taiwan’s population and family structure have gradually changed. Under this premise, it discusses the impact of different living styles on the lives of those with high aged. First, we will give courses on the rationality of living space planning, safety of bath facilities and usage habits, the use habits and needs of household 3C products, and the design of home appliances and care equipment. And invite experts such as indoor design, mattress design, and industry design to conduct a speech with practical experience. Off-campus experience visits will also be conducted.
